Dina Figueiredo

I was born in Portugal in 1964, more precisely in the village of Porto de Mós. Ever since I was a child, the art world fascinated me and l was absorbed in the smallest piece of art.

In 1990 I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto - FBAUP, with a degree in painting.

Since 1991 I have been collaborating regularly with the team at the Ave Center from Loppiano, (Centro Ave Arte de Loppiano – Florence,Italy), dedicating myself essentially to stained glass windows projects on their churches and parish centers, having lived in Florence for over 20 years.

So far I have executed numerous stained-glass windows, mosaics, tabernacles and other liturgical elements for churches and chapels in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Korea, Ireland and Panama.

Currently my personal and professional life is based in the Lusitanian lands.

Intrinsic colors of light, paths that regenerate and give life to matter

Games and chromatic dynamics

Stained-glass windows - vortices of colors,

lines and transparencies in a living dynamism of images that glorify
and remember
the transcendent.

Celebration of light

The light, as it passes through the colored glass, creates a mystical aura inside the churches, similar to the divine light emanated by God.

Magic of Colors

A spread of light

and colors to make resplendent

the divine.

Matter
transformed into light

Matter that continuously expands and transforms

the light, flooding
the space and propagating

a luminous sphere

in infinite tones.

Source of inspiration

"If the content of philosophy is truth, the content of art is beauty. And beauty is harmony, and harmony means 'highest unity.

We must claim beauty from God, letting Him live in us who, in addition to being the true, the good, and the holy, are also the beautiful."
